Originally on a career path towards social work, Olive Klug harnesses their gifts for singing and storytelling as a means to accomplish lifelong goals of inspiring emotional catharsis and social change in their audiences. Influenced by artists from Joni Mitchell to Kimya Dawson, Olive’s unfiltered vulnerability is at the forefront of every song. Whether they’re discussing the complexities of the country’s politics or the complexities of grieving a relationship, their music conveys this sense of very outwardly figuring things out, which is what gives their music such a sense of communion. They're letting you in on the fact that they're going through it too, and they don't shy away from discussing the awkwardness.
Olive released their sophomore album Lost Dog in April 2025 while living full time in their converted van (pictured on the right). Ranging from lively full band romps about neurodivergence to ballads detailing their experience with loss, Lost Dog packs a full range of emotion into 8 dynamic songs.
